San Antonio- Darmstadt’s new twin city

We couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming partnership between San Antonio, Texas and Darmstadt. The official ceremony will be on 10/27 at the Darmstadtium and we’ll be there not only to celebrate but to get to know our new friends from the other side of the world. San Antonio is a diverse and vibrant city with a population of 1.3 million! It has so much to offer, especially culturally due to its Hispanic population, historically and obviously economically – but we as a school hope for a partnership that goes beyond „politics“. We want to actively engage with the people in San Antonio thus we’re hoping to establish a student exchange program. Our hopes are high, because it’s been difficult for the past years to get in touch with US schools, so we’re doing our best to convince the delegation that Darmstadt is the right place to come to. There will be a get-together between the representatives of San Antonio and a couple of schools which will present the benefits of an exchange and what we have to offer.
